Ireland Week Pub Stroll Zurich
Sunday March 16th, 2025
Ease your way into St. Patrick’s Day with a leisurely walk around Zurich’s Old Town in the best of company.
We will visit five different locations, all with varying degrees of association with literature or alcohol or both. Expect a mix of excerpts, exercise and the odd elegy, interspersed with wine, words and wisdom. Craic ( with an i ) and culture will be flowing in abundance.
Participants are asked to gather at Hottingerplatz Tram stop at 11.50 am on Sunday 16th
It’s the 4th stop of The No 3 tram, direction Klusplatz from HB, departing 11.42 .
There is a 5 minute walk to our first stop, where we will have a light lunch, some readings, and a drink.
From there we go back one stop towards the old town, from where the venues are all within 5 minutes walking distance from each other.
We will spend approx 50 mins in each place.
The tickets are CHF 32 and include:
Readings
A light, homemade lunch with a vegetarian option.
3 drinks ( beer, wine, soft drink, water ) or coffee
Live Irish music in one venue
Further drinks can be purchased in the various locations
To avoid staggering disappointment, book your place in advance if you want to come along as the numbers are limited.
The event is presented by Tale of the Gael and Friends as part of Ireland Week 2025 and the readings will feature both Swiss and Irish authors.
